FEET ON FIRE PRESENTS

THE GREAT GROVELAND BAREFOOT LAPS CHALLENGE

3/29/25 - GROVELAND, FL

SOLE SCORCHIN’ ACTION HITS FLORIDA + WISCONSIN FOR 2025 WITH BAREFOOT LAPS CHALLENGE

A nod to the classic barefoot lap endurance contest, this is a test to see who can barefoot the longest. The twist: after the second full lap, the boat will decrease speed by 2 mph and continue to decrease speed by 2 mph on every lap until the skier falls.

FEET ON FIRE IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MIX ELITE TOWED WATER SPORTS ATHLETES AND A HEALTHY DOSE OF COMPETITIVE CHAOS

Born in 2005 at Crazy Kelman’s legendary spot on Clear Lake, this barefoot endurance showdown—dreamed up by wakeboarding icons Parks Bonifay, Daniel Watkins, Erik Ruck, and the voice of watersports himself, Dano the Mano—has become a can’t-miss spectacle in Orlando (Feet on Fire South) and Wisconsin (Feet on Fire North).

The rules? Simple: two barefooters, one boat, no barefoot suits—just raw foot-to-water action. The boat runs laps in a Ring of Fire down south or a blazing figure-eight up north until someone bites it. It’s part endurance contest and part crash derby at its finest, featuring everyone from wakeboarders, wakeskaters and waterskiers to stunt folks and industry legends. Last person standing—or, more accurately, not face-planting—moves on.

It’s the kind of event where egos get bruised, skin gets scorched, and legends are made …

one glorious wipeout at a time.
